Ski Season . . . Golf Season

Hello Enrights!

Greetings from Toronto.

Spring arrived weeks ago but the warm weather wasn't quite here. As I drove past the Don Valley Golf Course yesterday on the way to work, the sign "Course Closed" was still hanging - how depressing. The Masters really gave me the itch. Well I am happy to say that on the way home, the sign was down the parking lot was full and the mini flag sticks were on the putting green - how sweet.

I will be hitting the driving range this weekend with David. I understand from Ming that some of you have hit the links already.

Here's to hearing the sweet sound of  . . . . FORE!!!!!

Long Lost Memories of Les Miz

If you have been following the Susan Boyle storyline that I started on the my last entry, you will understand why I have been lost in the listening of the wonderful music from the Les Miserables musical on my computer. The music brought back fond memories when Julie and I saw the production live when it first came to Toronto. Now how long ago was that? Pre-kids I suppose. If I recall correctly, we went with Morgan and Francis (thanks!) who, I believe, both bought the tickets for us ... anniversary present?

Now to come think of it, we also saw the Phantom as well ... what happened to that cultured couple?

Listen to This

I heard about this lady named Susan Boyle on the news and decided to Google her. It led me to a You Tube video link and it was quite inspiring to learn and hear about her. I decided to add a You Tube link on the Blog for you all to see. Search "Susan Boyle" and then listen. Or you can enter this on your browser and get a full screen video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY You can also search "Paul Potts" as well to get another inspiration.

Easter Sunday

A beautiful but slightly cool day. The Chongs spent Easter Mass listening to Carolyn in the choir. A beautiful ham dinner was prepared by Julie et al while Nick and Pat accompanied Ross and Ben to their Select Championship in Toronto. They won ... 4-1 and are declared champions.

While enjoying the dinner, we all witnessed an incredible Masters.

Easter is Busy

Julie was commenting that we can't even relax for Easter. Carolyn is busy with her choir obligations Friday to Sunday, Matthew is working and Nick and Pat are off to a farm birthday party in Milton. Shopping still has to be done and I had to get Will's phone fixed. And yes, we forgot Will ... he's boning up for 2 exams on Monday. I think some of us will go up to visit Will and deliver his phone and food but after 10 AM mass.

We hear that Ben and Ross's Select Team got all the way to the finals for the Provincials in Toronto. After they win (of course), they are heading over to the Chong's for Easter dinner. And oh yes, the MASTERS!

Hockey, Hockey, Hockey

Oh well, I guess not. Our hockey season is now officially over. This past weekend was spent in Buffalo with Nick's Select Bantam Team. They lost in the Championship game and I posted pictures on Will's picture website Pepsi pictures .

Usually, the whole family would go down and spend the weekend watching hockey and do some shopping. This time, only Nick and Pat went down while Julie stayed back for the other kids's work and rowing. We missed the others. But they had an opportune time to head down to Waterloo to visit Will while watching Greg's and Paul's kids play in one of their tournaments which just happened to be in Waterloo. So Will was the beneficiary of a surprise dinner while preparing for his exams.
